The Bible does not speak of AI, modern technology, semi-conductors, steel, electrical power, antibiotics or vaccines. As Christians what view should we take of these and future developments of science or technology? Would Jesus have been a technophile or a luddite? How should our faith inform our beliefs and practices in today’s world where technological progress and prowess drive the economies of the world’s wealthiest nations? This EBS session will take a critical look at the impact of the digital age on our shared faith; we will consider and explore together to what extent we should fear or embrace the technologies of our age. The session is intended to be thought provoking, challenging, practical and faith building.
